hi there friends!  boy, have i missed you.  i have officialy set a record for longest time without blogging (for myself.)  things around here have been changing tremendously!

i am officially posting on here that i am no longer shooting weddings, portraits or any type of events as a photographer.  it surely is bittersweet and a difficult decision to make.  but SOOO freeing at this point.  i love photography and probably always will.  i love the families and children who i have spent much time with over the last few years and watched them grow.  that's a big reason i enjoyed it. 

for now, i am going to continue with our "expeditions" and fun, artistic photos only.  steve and i are working super hard to grow our new business (third street promenade) here in cullman with gene and carol green.  i also still work a regular job, so it's difficult to do all of it.  i wish!  the shooting, editing, marketing, etc... take a lot of time.  had to make a choice and go with what's in my heart.  maybe i'll start it back up one day when things slow down.  who knows! 

so anyway - the new blog is just a blog for randomness.  when you have a blog for your business even if it's photography, i think you sometimes feel like it needs to be mostly related to "business."  so the new blog is WHATEVER.
